Bodies Of The Educational Organization

History

Xinis Educational Organization is the realization of the vision of the founder and current president of the organization’s president Sophoclis Xinis. The vision was the result of the need to keep upgrading the Greek Education, since it is the key sector for the development of a country.

This is precisely the target that it has been always aiming at, by providing education of high standard from within its member-institutions, by proving on a daily basis the possibilities that the earnest and responsible initiative has in the sensitive field of education.


The landmarks in the history of Xinis Educational Organization:


1958:

   Establishment of the prep school NEUTON
     

1963:

  Establishment of a Prep School KOTZAMANI in Xanthi.
     

1966:

  Establishment of PAN-SCHOLASTIC Prep School.
     

1969:

  Establishment of POLYTECHNIOC Prep School.
     

1974:

  Establishment of the XINIS SCHOOLS
A dynamic presence in the field of the Technical and Vocational Training.
     

1977:

  Establishment of ΚΕΑS XINIS (Higher Education Center-XINIS)
ΚΕΑS XINIS gives the possibility to follow up studies abroad.
     

1979:

  Establishment of the MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE
For English-speaking, university of University studies in Greece. The starting point for the private university education.
     

1980:

 

Establishment of FOREIGN LANGUAGES-XINIS

INTERNATIONAL liaison of the MEDITERRANEAΝ COLLEGE with the U.A.C. (UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS CENTER) of the United States of America.

     

1981:

 

The first transfer of a student of the MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE to an overseas University. (Villanova State University

Liaison with the MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE με SCHILLER UNIVERSITY (U.S.A)

     

1982:

  Cooperation of the MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE with Α.Β.Ε of G. Britain.
The MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE is recognized as an educational and examinations center of the ASSOCIATION BUSINESS EXECUTIVES in Greece.
     

1985:

  Establishment of the HELLENIC PEDAGOGIC INSTITUTE
     

1986:

  Establishment of the EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION-XINIS.
     

1988:

  Acquisition of the Studies Center CARRIERA
     

1989:

 

Establishment of the NURSING SCHOOL

CARRIERA in PIRAEUS

      

1990:

  Cooperation with the MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE with the LAREDO STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE For the first time in Greece studies for M.B.A. degree.
     

1991:

 

Κ.Ε.Α.S XINIS is renamed to GREEK-SPEAKING COLLEGE

Expansion of CARRIERA to Kallithea.

XINIS SCHOOLS IN PIRAEUS

Franchise agreement of the MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE with the COVENTRY UNIVERSITY It is for the first time that in Greece the Greek students have the possibility to obtain BACHELOR'S DEGREES.

      

1992:

 

Cooperation of the GREEK-SPEAKING COLLGE with the LA JOLLA UNIVERSITY (USA )

Expansion of the SCHOOLS XINIS to Thessalonica

The MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE is a cofounding member of the European network TIES (TOGETHER INTER EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY)

     

1993:

 

Expansion of CARIERRA in Glifada

Expansion of CARIERRA in Thessalonica

Establishment of IEK XINIS in ATHENS, PIRAEUS, GLIFADA, THESSALOLNICA

     

1994:

 

Preemptive agreement of the GREEK-SPEAKING SCHOOL with the UNIVERSITY ΟF NORTHUMBRIA AT NEWCASTLE

Expansion of CARIΕRRA in Nea Smirni.

Cooperation of the Mediterranean with the College RICEBA in Latvia. It is for the first time that a Greek educational organization “exports” its own curriculum.

     

1995:

 

Expansion of XINIS TRAINING ORGANIZATION in Patra.

Establishment of National range KEK XINIS

     

1996:

 

Cooperation of the MEDITERRANEAN COLLEGE with the UNIVERSITY OF NORTHUMBRIA AT NEWCASTLE U.K.

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the University of Derby Cooperation of Carierra with the LCM (London College of Management) & LCA (London College of Arts)

     

1997:

  Franchise cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the Baker College (U.S.A)
      

1998

  Exclusive cooperation to promote university studies and exchange of students with the Ministry of Education of Russia.
     

1999:

 

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the University of Wales Bangor (U.K)

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the University of York (UK) for Master Degrees entirely in Greece.

Establishment of the Exact Consulting & Training Center

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the University of Southern Europe (Monaco)

     

2000:

 

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the De Paul University (USA)

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the University of London (UK)

Carierra offers the programs by means of Franchise throughout Greece.2000 The Mediterranean College is recognized by the British BAC as an Institution which provides university studies.

     

2001:

 

Establishment of the E-University College, to obtain e-Certificates, e-Diplomas, e-Bachelors, e-Masters, by using the method of e-learning.

Establishment of Medstudies, Centre of Certified Studies of Alternative & Supplementary Medicine.

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the Heriot-Watt University.

      

2002:

 

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the Teeside University (UK).

Cooperation of the Mediterranean College with the University of Southern Queensland (Australia2002)

Agreement of the Mediterranean College of Management for the postgraduate programs Executive Diplomas

Establishment of the Board of Trustees of the Mediterranean College whose members are high profile dignitaries who enjoy an international prestige.

     

2003:

  The Mediterranean College establishes the Centre of Business, Management & Economics
     

2004:

  Noam Chomsky comes to Greece as a guest of the Mediterranean College.
     

2005:

  Craciela Chichilnisky comes to Greece as a guest of the Mediterranean College
